Pros

No dress code. Free food. You can do nothing and no one will notice. Which is actually a con if you have any ambition.

Cons

The recruiting manager doesn't know what she's doing (when she shows up) and there are so many recruiters it's complete chaos and backstabbing. Total nightmare process and team.

Pros

The software itself is reliable and performs well, offering solid functionality and decent user experience.

Cons

• Middle management and above are largely disconnected from the sales field, lacking an understanding of the challenges we face. Their leadership often feels incompetent in addressing real-world sales issues. • Technical Solutions Consultants are not equipped to lead independently and require heavy reliance on Sales Executives to engage effectively with clients. • The founders come across as arrogant, which is a major turnoff for customers. Their insistence on the superiority of the software often results in pricing strategies that are difficult for customers to justify. • Legal and process roadblocks frequently prevent the sales team from closing deals, often leading to lost opportunities. Appian’s internal bureaucracy can be its own worst enemy when it comes to driving sales. • Middle management can be toxic, often displaying negative or abusive behavior behind closed doors. It’s not uncommon for employees to be berated privately when no one else is around.

Cons

- Culture has gotten significantly worse in the past 2 years, mostly because of massive strategic mistakes made from the highest levels - Many talented folks have left after being pushed aside or not recognized for their contributions - We are a business process automation company that still runs on spreadsheets for many things - focus has been on rolling out features customers are not interested in, rather than fixing fundamental issues with the platform, like the perception that it is slow. - Focused way too much on shaming Pega rather than on their own product, leading mostly to lots of shrugs from customers and a lot of wasted time. -Round after round of layoffs, with rounds of executive meetings after to figure out strategy going forward (pro tip: figure out strategy first before laying people off). -there is no more sales pipeline at the company.
