      - Fantastic supportive culture. Everyone is super fun to work with and very helpful. Very few egos at Appian - Learning time/Indie time. Company allocated time for you to professionally develop yourself - Yearly retreats and culture of happy hours and get togethers Overall if you are just starting out in your career, Appian is a fantastic place to learn and grow

      Cons

      - Awful, bloated codebase that kills developer productivity. Everything is so slow - Group of senior engineers that are not equipped to lead teams and often are around just because of tenure - Horrible stock offer. In today's world of tech companies, offering 3 digit stock RSU's that all accumulate to less than $30K over 4 years is pitiful and a big reason why talent often leaves after the 2-3 year mark - Outdated tenure based promotion plan. Have to be at a current level for x years no matter how great you perform you won't get promoted

Regarding your note on our codebase, developer productivity is very important to us. As you know, we have made a multi-year investment in modernizing the codebase into Kubernetes and microservices to ensure our engineering teams are able to build and release fast in the new cloud native framework. If you’re open to it, I’d value a discussion with you to dig deeper into how these enhancements have not positively impacted your day-to-day, in addition to some of the other areas you touched on.
