Pros

Cutting edge cloud technologies. Very well-known clients. Appirio uses the solutions they implement. Smart people who share their knowledge and experience freely. Good name in the industry. I would still recommend Appirio as an employer to a friend, as it is a great addition to the resume and an enormous learning opportunity.

Cons

Culture has eroded over the years. Part of this is due to growth, but there is a sense that Appirio has gone corporate, with little concern for the individual. People who were at the heart of the company have gone elsewhere or have been left behind in terms of promotions or salary increases. One needs to be part of the inner circle to advance. Nobody used to care about titles, but recently there has been an explosion of VPs and Directors. Then came the restructuring and some layoffs. Makes you wonder if they are getting ready for a sale. Salary increases are very uneven across the company and not at the level the market offers. If you are in it for the money, look elsewhere.

Pros

Salary is high but benefits are truly atrocious.

Cons

Since the acquisition by Wipro in 10/2016, the majority of top end Salesforce delivery talent has moved on. While the end result is a fantastic proliferation of personal references throughout the Salesforce ecosystem and beyond, things are bleak for those remaining. Common customer feedback for 2018 is, 'compared to what sales sold us, the technical members of the delivery team were inexperienced/underwhelming.' Appirio has not brought Wipro up to Appirio's former SME-standard. Wipro has brought Appirio down to Wipro's inexperienced body shop-standard.

Post acquisition culture shock

Pros

Many quality individuals still at the company, albeit a quickly dwindling group.

Cons

The famed "Appirio Way" became one of many casualties post acquisition by Wipro, a technology company from India. Everything about the 'culture', specifically the management style quickly devolved where Appirio way factors like fun-factor, mutual-respect, work life balance and collaboration got largely replaced by singular focus towards delivering more with less by bonus obsessed ever powerful Account Directors, many of who appear clueless about truly managing, leading and inspiring team members to perform at the best.
