Pros
This was my first job during high school and then I worked at a different location for a little while during college. I was a hostess and I was making about $4 or $5 per hour plus tips (a percentage of the sales), which actually came out to an average of about $9-12/hour. Not bad for a restaurant job! It was also a really fun atmosphere. Management does a great job at letting you know exactly what they expect of you, yet they are still laid back and don't micromanage.
Cons
As a hostess I was also required to bus tables, so when we got busy, things got a little stressful.
