Pros
Working at Applied Materials has been a great experience. I am constantly learning new things and meeting new people. Some of the things I like about this company is: Relaxed atmosphere (Depending on position) Descent pay Great work/life balance Depending on position your able to work remotely on occasion. Management does not micromanage my time. As long as I get my tasks done they are happy.
Cons
Applied Material states they are a tech company, but at times seems like the opposite. There is alot of red tape and established processes. Making a change to something can be a headache. Also moving up as an engineer can be hard if you are in manufacturing side. The organization over manufacturing can be cheap and does not like to promote engineers beyond a certain level.
