Pros

The semiconductor equipment field is interesting and meaningful. Applied Materials tends to treat their employees quite well.

Cons

It takes a lot of time to become capable in any engineering role because the semiconductor equipment field is diverse. Solving problems requires vast and in depth knowledge. The company is also very bureaucratic.
