Pros

Pay and insurance was good. Work was straightforward. Most of the team was great to work with.

Cons

Middle mgmt selected an inexperienced team lead based on personal preference and not skill/experience/training. That person let bias, bitterness and a resentful grudge against me to lay me off and make me an example to all other team members. It was completely unwarranted and I should have sued.

Pros

They do hire. If you are one of the unluckiest PhD that can't get a job anywhere, AMAT might be your last choice. It's better than earning 40k a year as a postDoc nevertheless

Cons

I don't know how they manage to make their PE work 60-80 hrs every week, under a very sub-standard work environment, toxic relationships with co-workers, yet there is still very few complaints.
