Layoff after layoff

Pros

Remote work & good colleagues. Nothing else.

Cons

Layoff after layoff. Leadership has no idea what they are doing. All the people who worked for 7+ years left or fired. Without them, the company is a ship without a captain. Sailing in the direction the wind blows.

A Masterclass in Managerial Confusion

Pros

If you’re looking for structured feedback, clear expectations, and job security—this might not be the place for you. Performance reviews? Sure, but only when it’s too late to do anything about it. Instead of regular, constructive 1:1 discussions, you’ll enjoy a last-minute verdict at the end of your probation period, based on ever-changing criteria. Managers here seem to operate on a “figure it out as we go” strategy, often unsure of what needs to be done or how work should be allocated. Decisions shift constantly, leaving employees in a state of perpetual uncertainty.

Cons

Personal advice: If you receive an offer from this company, consider it a test of your risk tolerance. You might be better off avoiding the gamble.

Pros

• Hybrid Work Model – You can work from home most of the time and only visit the office when necessary, like for personal tasks or scheduled rosters. • Supportive Team – Everyone is helpful, making it easier to learn and grow in the role. • Good Learning Curve – The job allows you to develop skills and contribute meaningfully from the start.

Cons

• Initial Adjustment to Hybrid Setup – In the beginning, it takes some effort to reach out via messages or calls for guidance. However, once you adapt, the flexibility becomes a major advantage. • Networking Challenges – Since most interactions happen remotely, building connections and exchanging ideas with colleagues can take extra effort. However, rosters provide a great opportunity to meet and collaborate in person.
