Pros

Large world wide company that allows you to be exposed to different facets of the engineering industry IF you push yourself to be exposed. Somewhat flexible and vacation time is sufficient. You are able to purchase vacation if you want. Good medical benefits.

Cons

A huge company bureaucracy. Upper management bonus pools create a very political atmosphere given that you must also me vouched for consideration in the bonus pool. The company has no loyalties and will fire and hire without thinking about it. Pressure for billable hours is huge. There are only two numbers the company cares about, your employment number and the number of hours you bill. The real money making lower staff worker bees have ridiculous utilization goals.

Pros

Great staff level co-workers who were friendly., intelligent and always willing to help out. An environment of job site safety was fostered.

Cons

There was a high turnover in the staff and most people were unhappy in their work there. Management had no idea how to lead and work was all about meeting your billable hours. Advice would be don't consider working there. When you interview they will talk about career advancement and how great it is to work there. Do not believe it .

Pros

Remote Worker, Health Benefits, Shrinking pockets of good folks

Cons

Continuous push for billability has hyper-enabled an already existing culture of cannibalism, work-hoarding and outright work theft. Continuous negative messaging from top of the organization about financial performance has reached junior and administrative staff. Morale at historic low. Rewards and accolades for many who know how to game the financial numbers. Conflicting messaging from top - “We need to win more work”, yet “You need executive-level approval to travel see a client” Continuous messaging showing staff traveling the globe with apparently no billable work to show for it. Measures implemented to improve financial performance feel more punitive than corrective. Example: Cancel company year-end parties in July. Top performers fight to get minimal raise in 2016. “Pay-for-performance” mantra abandoned without explanation.
