Work life balance (not uncommon to work 60 hour work weeks). Overtime available for any work week over 50 hours

Decent pay, benefits are good.

Cons

No life/ work balance. They run short staffed so forced overtime. Nothing ever gets fixed. Company and mgt only cares about having a body to fill a Job to keep running.

Never a dull moment. The scenery is always changing and your work load is typically never the same from day-to-day. No repetitious dull-drum work.

Cons

Management has a long way to go when it comes to changing the mindset of its workforce. They claim they are all about safety, but when it comes to production numbers and quotas, safety is often overlooked. They will never admit it, but it happens every day. The USW are always complaining about not enough overtime, but when they get it, nothing really gets done because there is no management figure to watch over them.
