      Pros

      The SAIL Program has been the ideal start to my career. The program offers valuable training and hands on experience in a specified career path while also offering options in any field where you express interest. It provides fun out of office experiences, individualized coaching, and allows you to provide meaningful contributions right off the bat. I would highly recommend this path to anyone looking to begin a career in insurance. The people at Argo Group have been extremely welcoming and I can't say enough about the positive experience I have had so far in this program. I feel extremely lucky to be apart of it.

      Fast Pace and High Potential

      Pros

      I appreciate Argo's fast pace and constant push to evolve, although people who don't like change may find it a more challenging environment. The changes here are for the better - constant improvements and evolution to stay ahead of the game and make breakthroughs in what's traditionally been a slower-paced industry. Quick decision-making, relatively flat structure, always seeking new ideas and better ways to get things done = an exciting place to be. Lots of potential as a company.

      Cons

      If you aren't open to frequent change, new processes, trying innovative ideas (some that succeed and some that don't) it may not be a great fit.

      Entrepreneurial Organization - Charitable Passion

      Pros

      I have enjoyed starting a business from the ground up, almost 10 years ago, that now generates $100 million in annual premium. The willingness to support a start up business plan took a great deal of courage from the CEO at Argo Group. I have come to love the passion this organization has for philanthropy and coming along side our local charitable interests too.

      Cons

      As with any public company, there are processes and procedures that slow the ability to execute business as quickly as a private organization could without those same restrictions.
