Pros

Good work. Nice Salary and Bonus.

Cambridge Driven. Will not take innovative ideas from outside HQ. No Career Development Opportunities by way of promotions etc for people outside HQ, even when performance significantly exceeds expectations.

Thanks for leaving a review! A lot of initiatives are driven from Cambridge as that is our Headquarters, but each of our design centers contribute ideas, which has gotten ARM to where it is today. Regarding Career Development, I encourage you to speak with your line manager, as he or she will be the one who recommends you for a promotion to the next grade level. I also recommend that you visit the Talent Development Intranet page, which contains a wealth of information on how you can improve on certain skills. Also, all ARM employees have access to courses on Lynda.com which you can take, ranging from coding related to soft skills like public speaking. -Rick C.

Stay Away from Corporate Marketing, if Possible

Pros

- Multi-cultural environment - Flexible approach to work hours - Dynamic work routine and a relative degree of autonomy - Seems like a great place for engineers and developers

Cons

- While IT, developers, and product groups seem happy, Corporate Marketing has had the lowest employee satisfaction rates in the company for several years running. And it's a well-known issue. - Too much politics and internal battles in this specific department - Very few actual marketing specialists - The environment in the department is high-strung and directionless - The directors are allowed to browbeat and intimidate their reports - Lack of clear career path and training
