      Good place to work

      Pros

      I'm working in the PDG group for less than a year. 1)Nice place to work. Colleagues are very friendly. 2)Scope to learn and work on latest technologies. 3)No overburden/extreme pressure which is seen in other companies.

      Cons

      Compensation is not par with market leaders. Although stock bonus compensates a little towards it, it would help a lot for the management to retain their best engineers if they increase the compensation.

As noted in previous review responses regarding compensation, the Rewards team completed a company wide analysis, and employees should now be placed in the 75% band, meaning your base salary will be higher than 75% of your peers in the relative market (location, function). Once you factor in bonuses and the RSUs you were granted when you join the company, as well as the PTO/time off, the total compensation package is quite competitive. For employees who perform exceptionally on the rating scale, this is reflected with a 1.25x bonus increase as well as a larger annual pay increase, which helps to retain our best engineers! -Rick C.       Regret on my wrong decision to join ARM

      Believe me. No pros in this firm, at Bangalore office. Read the cons below to know more. There are only cons. Its like a hell .

      Cons

      If you joining as a software engineer, senior software engineer, verification or senior verification engineer, please don't, you will regret. Very strict regarding timing, only for non-managers. Managers have no rules, no work. They are smart enough to prove you wrong if you question them. That's why Indians are so keen to be managers, unlike British or Americans who believe in work. Managers at Bangalore office highly misuse their position. And HRs speak what the managers ask them to say. Generally the managers of these idiot managers are in US/UK so they don't have a clue. They believe whatever these managers tell them.

      Software Development 1year placement

      Pros

      I'm half way through my one year placement and have absolutely loved my time here. From the very beginning I felt that my work was meaningful and I was welcomed as part of the team. Work/Life balance is great, as an intern we are not expected nor allowed to work from home. You also get 25 days paid holiday per year. The work itself is challenging but I never felt it was too much, and my manager was always there to give advice. The most important thing is that I felt like my work is making a difference. The socials are great, there are christmas&halloween parties as well other socials like bowling, office parties and pub meals. There are also other oppertunies to do training; for example I did fire marshal training while at work and had the oppertunity to do first aid training as well. The pay is more than enough to cover expenses and have plenty left over.

      Cons

      I can't think of any cons right now. It was a little difficult at first to change my mindset to a 9-5 work day from working whenever I felt like it while at uni.
