      Great colleagues, politics ruin it though

      Pros

      - Lots of great people - Some of the most talented engineers I've ever worked with - Platform team's focus on developer quality-of-life punches about their class - Company is profitable

      Cons

      - Decisions are made top-down, with little input from individual contributors - AI craze is taking over everything without the needed focus on quality - Directors and managers don't seem to actually know anything about users or their needs, or the product itself. They just get excited about AI models they've played with and want to shove them into the product

      - we get the best tech + latest AI tools to work with - great benefits, flexible time off, student loan repayment, etc. - strong team members, everyone is very friendly and we push each other to do our best

      - moments to directly hear from leadership are limited
