Pros

Incredible projects to work on around the world. Offices are staffed with people from all over, not just locals. Decent professional development opportunities. Great internship opportunities. Benefits are decent.

Cons

Lower than average pay. Political minefield. Hard to believe the behavior of upper management is tolerated. Slow to promote from within, they usually hire upper level positions from outside the firm. They tend to favor Brits over Americans in the US offices.

Pros

We get to work on the highest profile projects in the world, with some of the sharpest people in the industry. Benefits are awesome, from health insurance, time off, 401k, etc. Very diverse and friendly employees.

Cons

The pay is not as high as others. The management expects you to work a lot. The management is aloof it seems most of the time, more concerned with financial performance of the office than performance of the workers. Rarely are poor performers let go, financials have to be really poor to lay people off. Seem to let really good ones go on because they don't care to develop them.

Good company, good workplace, shame about some of the management

Pros

Good company with a good work culture, trying to make a difference in the 'built environment' as they put it. Ethos was good as was the quality of work and quality of *some* of the people.

Cons

Sometimes very slow getting things done, slow to change and progress. Pay and benefits were OK but you always knew that the guy next to you was on more money but did the same job. I felt there was an element of 'old boys club' where some staff who were habitually lazy were never pulled up for poor performance as they were coated in Teflon.
