      Pros

      - access to knowledge - opportunities for relocation - flexible working - interesting projects - good office locations - impressive investment in research

      - salaries are generally lower - management have trouble of removing poor performing workers

      Pros

      The culture is very comfortable and pretty fun. Arup makes an effort to keep its employees happy though food and office amenities. 3 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks sick time, plus about 10 other holidays.

      Cons

      The compensation is not what i think it should be (meaning i'm underpaid). definition of milestones required for advancement are vague at best. Mid-level management has no power. Principles make all raise decisions, even for the underlings they may not interact with. this is a serious disconnect that leaves the young engineers at the mercy of their managers to convince the principles to promotes the younger engineer and give them raises. some of these managers don't seem to understand the structure leaving young engineers dissatisfied with lack of raises and promotions.

      Pros

      Very supportive managers and willing to help you with your job. Great technical training and opportunities to grow knowledge. Your work is genuinely appreciated by managers and higher ups. You also get to work on some very iconic projects and managers are very aware of the importance of getting diversified experience. You also have the opportunity to travel internationally as your experience grows.

      Cons

      Pay is pretty standard - possibly on the lower side.
