Pros
I recently joined Arup as a Graduate Electrical Designer Engineer, in the Montreal (Canada) office, and it has all been amazing so far. One of the main reasons for working at Arup, personally, is that I found & felt that my values and the company's truly align. Values which I discovered are equally shared amongst all their staff too. It is this shared mindset & vision which, I believe, creates one of the best & most inspiring environments to work in. On top of this, after starting in the office, I really felt & observed that Arup truly values every single one of their employees, in all ways from genuine supportive teammates & staff, to wellbeing benefits offered when joining the company. This truly resonates throughout the firm, not only within the Montreal office, but internationally.
Cons
One downfall I have experienced is quite minor in the grand scheme of things. It is mainly issues with their overall IT department, including any issues regarding technology taking a long time to get resolved. I consider this a downfall as it was the only thing that hindered my smooth onboarding process within the firm, due to it greatly slowing down my project work. Another downfall would be with regards to their HR department and several misunderstandings following unclear communication from them.
