Lots of cultural/structural changes on the sales team... best to wait things out
Pros
Competitive compensation, company invests heavily on employee wellbeing (office facilities, HR/Enablement/Ops ect departments)
Cons
Sales team has extremely high attrition rate. For a variety of reasons, Asana seems to be getting hit especially hard by macro-economic challenges, and the sales team is going through a lot of strategic and operational changes to adapt. Like a lot of tech companies in similar situations, the sales team is the first on the "chopping block". Sales reps are being fired at an alarmingly high rate (though the sales team is still aggressively hiring). If you are an experienced/skilled/hardworking salesperson, your success will not be guaranteed. The company is firing a lot of under-skilled AEs, but a lot of quality AEs are also getting caught up in the purge. The Asana sales team is going through a lot of structural and cultural changes. Even if you are an experienced AE, if you are thinking of working at Asana I would only suggest it if you have Asana AEs in your network that can give you intel, and I would wait until at least H2 2024 to see how things shape out.
