Pros

Stability as it is a strategic initiative of the larger Ascension Health System. It was renovated in 2011 and they provide free fountain soft drinks and a range of coffee. The setup is well done with dual monitors and a laptop docking station. They have annual raises.

Cons

Poor quality of product and service to the customers, fraudulent management, and a general disregard for the truth and quality.

There is hope because many of the teams are still mission/values focused and working to change the experience for patients, their families and the communities served. There are also wonderful peers to support each other. But,

Cons

over the years, things have moved away from being supportive to the employee. In the past three-years, the HR team has been unable to meet the needs of the organization. The leadership team hops on the next cool fad but continues to struggle causing continuous staff restructuring and reductions in workforce. The culture is poor, the staff is overworked, stressed and now operate with a fear-based (save yourself) mindset.
