Pros

401k match Remote opportunities Competitive customer pricing

Cons

After your initial interview, you’ll rarely interact with management again. You are a number and your numbers are your sole identifier. This company has absolutely no heart. Ideas for improvement are met with disdain and collaboration is not valued. Team leads openly humiliate team members who occasionally fall short of their call and volume KPIs via emails to the entire team. They also take credit for ideas proposed by team members and unprofessionally malign team members to other team members. The culture is atrocious and if misogyny is your jam, this is the place for you. The customer database has been picked over ad nauseam, and you’re often calling on customers who have no idea who Ascentium is (or are dissatisfied with their prior experience). It’s not uncommon for reps to leave without having secured another position, as they’d rather have no income than perpetuate the misery. You’re probably better off almost anywhere else.

Pros

Benefits and PTO are awesome.

Cons

Operations Management that is taking over worse than I’ve ever seen in my career. They promote by way of extremely obvious favoritism so you can do better than anyone else but that won’t get you ahead. They will turn you down for a position you’re well qualified for and give it to someone they like and then tell you to train them how to do the job. Complete disrespect. Communication is nonexistent and morals have disappeared. The moral went from being great to being terrible. The favoritism causes conflict amongst peers. Miserable way to spend 5 days off your week and to top it off the pay is not what it should be. The HR acts as though they care but nothing is being done about these things. More people are unhappy and quitting than ever. It is so disappointing to see the CEO allow this company to evolve to such a poisonous environment.
