Pros
1. The people (apart from leadership at the very top). Asite is full of great people, who are friendly, supportive of each other and they really are the highlight of the company 2. The snacks you get at the bar every week 3. Dog friendly office
Cons
Every cons list you see on glassdoor is true. If you're looking for a new place to work, do yourself a favour and do not apply for one at Asite. Anywhere is better than here. - Everyone is unhappy due to the poor atmosphere that's been created by leadership. We all support each other but a workplace should never affect your mental health and you should never feel depressed about coming into work. - Seems that every decision is made by Nicole, general counsel, who has no interest in employees, working conditions, office morale or atmosphere. Only cares about the business. You'll receive emails telling you how you've done something wrong even though you're just following how we've always done things, and she will refer to policies or the handbook which were never communicated and I had never seen in my years at the company. The handbook is also out of date and refers to people who aren't even in the business anymore. It's very ambiguous so nothing makes sense. - 5 day office week, NO flexibility. You can't work from home, no matter what reason and how important it may be whether it relates to health, family, financial challenges, etc. Your leave may get approved by your manager, but if not by Nicole, you don't get paid :) some of us had to learn about this new rule the hard way because of course we weren't told about the new way of doing things - Miserable at work? Oh well. No surveys to see what employees are unsatisfied with. No care for anything at all. If you're unhappy just deal with it or leave. No one to seek help/support from. No exit interviews so nothing ever gets improved. - No onboarding. Managers who actually care will try to make up for it and do what they can to help you but there are no standard processes or training, so everyone's first few months in the company is different. There are several employees who have tried to step in and create things on their own to support new and existing employees but as soon as leadership find out about it, instead of being grateful they ask 2000 questions and don't seem to support the idea as they simply don't care about the positive effects of having anything good for staff - No HR, no training for internal employees, no development or career plans, no bonuses, no pay rises, no incentives, no talk about diversity & inclusion or any of the important stuff. Just do your work. - No sick pay. So if you're ill, go to the office and get everyone else sick or you don't get paid. Can't wfh either. - CEO is so out of touch with everything and everyone - Managers have been stripped of their rights to make decisions or approve anything for their employees, even holiday. Everything goes to Nicole. The list goes on.
