Pros

Love the culture and global nature of our business.

Cons

It is 5 x a week in office. But they do support family and so anytime I have ever had a need, I do feel supported enough to take care of my family and work.

Pros

Associa Arizona provided strong exposure to the community association management industry and gave me the opportunity to work with a wide range of Boards, homeowners, vendors, and operational challenges. The role helped me grow professionally, strengthen my problem-solving skills, and gain valuable experience in a demanding HOA management environment. I was also able to invest in my professional development while there, including earning my CMCA and AMS certifications. I had the opportunity to support other managers, assist with certification preparation, provide process guidance, and lead trainings for Boards and homeowners.

Cons

The workload was often heavy and difficult to sustain, and expectations shifted frequently. Leadership support was inconsistent, and direction was not always clear or aligned. At times, it felt like there were multiple competing leadership voices rather than one consistent management structure. Growth and advancement opportunities did not feel transparent or clearly supported. Despite earning certifications, contributing beyond my formal role, supporting others, and expressing interest in continued growth, I did not feel there was a clear or credible path forward within Associa Arizona. Recognition also did not always seem aligned with performance, contribution, accountability, or professional development. Internal opportunities did not always feel clearly communicated, and the overall process around advancement could have been more transparent. When concerns were raised around workload, support, and growth planning, the response did not feel meaningfully engaged. In my experience, the culture could improve in the areas of leadership alignment, employee development, workload support, recognition, and communication.
