Pros

Colleagues are nice, polite and smart. It's a multicultural atmosphere, with people from many countries and backgrounds.

Cons

The company offers no opportunities to learn new skills, no access to training; there are no opportunities for career progression, so basically you're stuck doing the same job for many years.

"Top heavy company that refuses to invest in talent outside of the Newsroom"

Pros

Great location and flexibility of working hours for senior staff

Cons

Well below the market rate for new starters and junior positions. For such a large company, very little emphasis is placed on integrating new staff into the organisation and making them feel welcome. Staff at all levels tend to keep to themselves, so if you are looking to socialise with your colleagues, this is not the place for you.

Bullying, cliquey and bad management

Pros

Looks good on CV, you're working with (some) clever people, you can stay in this job until your teeth drop out if you can put up with the bad management and bullying.

Cons

Bullying is ignored. Nepotism is rife. It's cliquey and little career progression.
