Pros

Some people are nice and caring.

Cons

Dealing with a bunch of judgmental, gossipy, drama filled unprofessionalism. Pay too low to afford a comfortable lifestyle. No room for growth.

Pros

I can only speak for myself on this one, but I've had a good opportunity to grow and learn here. It will help me in the future whether I'm at Assurant or not. There are a few genuine people here, but we all feel the pain of the cons explained in this review.

Cons

Needs more help in the IT department, better software, emails delete after 45 days, ridiculous 15 character passwords, horrible wifi. Horrible maternity leave - when I'm ready to have a baby, I'll find another job. Facility in ATL has no amenities - Miami office is wayyyy better with a gym, daycare, etc. We can't even go down to the river for fresh air because it's been blocked off for almost a year due to the construction of the trail. Horrible food with no healthy options besides pitiful looking salad- enough said there. Engagement team doesn't follow up on people who actually want to join to offer up better ways to engage our employees and create an actual culture. Never enough seating at events so we are forced to grab food and run back to our desks. Limited or no work from home opportunities - traffic in ATL is a real issue and having to come into work every single day doesn't help the growing traffic issue. Not to mention that the work from home opportunities are unfair - some people get to work from home full time after requested and some don't get any at all (denied). Projects that either go no where or are continued although they have no importance to the business what so ever. HR department is very slow, slow hiring process. No/very limited budget for tools, vendors, more resources/people. Very complicated business and very hard to learn the business because hardly anything is documented or shared.

Pros

Flexible scheduling, good benefits and PTO

Cons

Terrible leadership, management, and processes. Managers and business leaders half listen, and take no concern of issues when they are mentioned until it becomes too big to ignore. Only care about profits, not client or employee satisfaction. Everyone is horribly underpaid. Was promised upward mobility at hire, which will likely never happen.
