Pros

- Sociable fun culture (lots of events, CSR drinks, parties, lunches etc.) - 12 month training program (I've worked at companies that promise good recruitment training but this is the best I've experienced as its mostly classroom based) - Ability to take a day off for charity and get involved with CSR activities - Good progression opportunities - they promote from within and have a clear structure to help develop your career. - Great people to work with - nice to be around driven like minded people - Good commission structure with the opportunity for an increase once you are promoted. - Company has lots of tools in place to help you succeed - Free office fruit -Healthcare -Work in the way you want to work -Management are great -Stunning offices

Cons

- As with any recruitment company you need to be prepared to work hard however I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there are no excessive calling KPI's like at other agencies. - If you join you need to be resilient as you will need to handle objections etc.. however this is the same for any recruitment role in any company -Hours are longer than in some other industries (core hours are 8-6pm)however they are necessary to be able to fulfill the role - this is the same in most recruitment companies

Pros

- Learning from experienced billers with excellent billings - Opportunity to work with reputable clients - Opportunity to work globally

Cons

You balance your own emotions with the perceptions and intentions of our colleagues to make them feel comfortable. You navigate insensitivities with dignity assuming most colleagues are not ill-intentioned but operate to ‘everyone’ in this way. You are judged more harshly when underperforming and performing against our target. Our passion is negatively portrayed for anger, attitude and endless emotion. Leadership are neither adequately penalised or questioned for their behaviour or teams behaviour. You are constantly put-down when focusing on bettering your career. In reality, the opportunities at Aston Carter are easily accessible for others to reach outside the 3%. If you don't adapt you'll find yourself excluded, portrayed in a negative light and slowly removed

Pros

Good bonus structure and rewards with overseas holiday incentives. Global player within recruitment agencies, however locally no support provided.

Cons

One size fits all. What works for them elsewhere they apply globally without considered thinking of local conditions and market dynamics.
