Pros

- You get to work with the best clients in the industry you operate in. - Management is experienced and generally speaking intelligent. - The training is progressive and thorough, and throughout your career you are constantly given opportunities to further your knowledge.

Cons

- Hours are long and dependant on which team you are in. - Sometimes management neglects to take on other people's opinions and can make it difficult for you to try and be different.

Pros

- Great place to earn money. The POTENTIAL for making good money fast is there for those who want it. - The banter in the office can be quite good, until it is stomped out by management. - You are encouraged to go out and meet people as much as possible - Career progression is very much in your own hands, up to a certain point - If you are liked by senior management, you are well looked after and can be accelerated in the business

Cons

- Very poor work/life balance - Arriving any later than 7.45am and leaving any earlier than 7pm results in a full blown inquest - Independent thought is discouraged. - Fresh ideas and suggestions on alternative ways of approaching things are described as "being resistant" and are dismissed - Sales floor run through fear, rather than through trust - Spoken to like children by management - If you are not favoured by senior management, then life can be hell. Seen impact on colleagues who have all since left the business - High turnover of staff - Highest billers become management irrespective of their ability to manage and no training put in place to make them managers

Pros

Was a great company to work when it was growing fast 2005 - 2010 Lots of flexibility and reward Very little red tape and reporting. You go to what ever meeting you wanted when ever you wanted and no one would ask any questions. Lots of money to be made in what was a booming banking market Management had been there for a long time Base pay is good, but you have to demand pay rise and show you can perform otherwise your struck in some standard payrise structure. I asked for a 100% increase on my base (i was smashing it) and got 50% base uptake. Good alternative to other super large recruitment businesses.

Cons

Red taped increased after the business sold to a larger recruitment business Lots of reporting Top performers could not just get away with what they wanted - maybe a good thing More of a structured larger management layer after the sell - some people may like that, but i prefer a flat structure. Banking market is performing bad now - less likely to make top dollar like in 2010. I made £200k in my last year as a hands on biller! Takes longer to become a team lead these days from what i can see. Senior management have made their money. Sold the company. There's no reason for them to change the world, drive the company to the next level, or take on even a reasonable amount of risk to push the business forward in what is a evolving competitive £4bn industry.
