The City Recruitment Agency that all others look up to

Pros

There is opportunity here. Listen to the old heads of AC (if they're still about) and you'll tap into some wisdom that made AC the dominant force that it is today. Work hard, work smart, apply yourself and you'll make money. If you don't work in Sales take what you can get from the experience and decide what your next career move will be. Having Aston Carter on your CV is basically enough to give you the keys to the City.

Cons

The size of the organisation has impacted its agility a little bit but the right decisions are made eventually. There will be gripes about pay/benefits and career progression is usually a slow burner but it's what you make of it.

Pros

Sorry, could not find any. It's on the average of this kind of recruiting agency. Not the worst, far away from the best. If you are experienced and you negotiate then it might be a good deal. You can use it as filling-the-holes employment, or to make the first experience. If the client you work at has a good reputation you can benefit for your CV. If the client you work at meets the expectations of its reputation, then you will gain experience. After that just move somewhere else to grow for real.

Cons

No attention for any need of the employees, no help in burocracy, no guarantee of a commitment for you to get any government advantage (bare in mind that in some countries your employer applies for these benefits). They drastically change the contract upon (late coming) renovation. Payslip not clear.

Pros

Excellent induction period, well structured L&D department, many opportunities to grow your career and salary, teams are committed and very supportive to each other, sales targets are within reach. You are expected to work hard and long hours, but it pays of if you commit. Great place to build your sales foundation over every discipline (account managent, recruitment and business development) This is a sales job, so pushing yourself to the max is what is expected and what you sign up for. If you are not up for this, then don't go for it.

Cons

HR department is receptive to pressure from management, secrets will not be kept. After Allegis acquired Aston Carter many of the values and work methodologies which made the company great disappeared. Local management is underdeveloped. They acquire these position due to sales targets being met, their commitment and work ethic, but not because of their social, management or leadership capabilities.
