Pros
I'm a contract and I've been here for 3 months, and I pray my contract renews and I get to stay full time but I've never had such love for a job like I've had for this company. I can tell you this, there's so many benefits of being a contract Athene employee, the treatment of their employees is exceptional, they are flexible with PTOs and they always aprovw for time off as needed. The managers are super sweet and caring. The dress code is very laid back, (jeans on Friday of course), free wifi to employees, the dept I work in; I can listen to music all day while doing my work and watch Hulu or Netflix as well as long as I'm working and getting things done of course, The breaks are flexible, they have a private mothers room and they give extra time for the moms who breast feed to use, they have a great coffee machine that makes all kinds of things, lattes, cappuccino, hot cocoa etc, they are always appreciative of their employees and tjeu acknowledge your efforts. They have team huddles that provide learning of new materials share concerns and give better knowledge on how to work on things, they do a wonderful providing sometimes free lunch, once a week, the building is always spotless, comes with balconies in case you don't want to go outside. There's a perfect lake, beautiful landscape they have. Great cafeteria that served delicious meals. (The chicken tacos are the best) The bosses act like humans just like anybody else should act. They don't act entitled. The pay is great compared to other companies in general. I could go on about this company but you get the idea. It's 2AM and I just wanted to share these wonderful thing about Athene because I love it and it's the best job I've ever held my whole life. Voted One of The Best Places To Work At in 2015 & 2016
Cons
Contractors don't receive benefits until they're employed by the company that's what I can think of.
