      Great Company for DOT Work

      Pros

      Small company feel within a large corporation. Very talented coworkers who are always willing to spend time to teach you their craft when you ask a question. My local office make a lot of effort to make sure employees are happy and plan fun events for us. My managers make a lot of effort to ensure I am happy with my career growth and request constant feedback on what I want.

      Cons

      Your work experience is highly dependent on which unit you are working for. I noticed the staff that primarily do work for DOT clients tend to have better managers.

      Pros

      Atkins is a global multi-disciplinary consultancy with great global coverage and provides the opportunity to work on some of the world's best projects and with the world's best clients.

      Cons

      The need to downsize and up size relatively quickly to meet client demands in a constantly changing environment.

      Pros

      It use to be "almost a brand" until all the designers that made it so, were forced out by management from the RMJM Leftover Henchmen Crew ... Now all those "Cool Atkins Designs" such as the propeller towers and the waterfall hotel are songs of dead soldiers

      Cons

      British Male Dominated culture, which, if working outside Europe means you will be harassed constantly and if you ever get past the workload that is dumped on you...and you won't ...
