Pros

It was a family environment as Henrob, not anymore but colleagues eased the politics. Other than it being close to home, once Atlas Copco took over there was no more Pro's

Cons

Before Atlas Copco bought Henrob, it was a really good place to work. They looked after the health and wellbeing of their staff, sadly this changed when Atlas Copco took over. There are department Managers who are power greedy, alienated those who actually did the work to the point many people left. Some managers gave unrealistic goals, even sent employees on a business trips knowing the employees should not have travelled. Departments were restructured so often no one knew who should be doing what. There was a couple of HR Managers who tried to help the business by highlighting the downfalls but they left after realising the top management just did not care and nothing would change. There is still one particular manager there who is utter poison and should be avoided at all costs. I would not recommend this company even if my life depended on it.

Uncoordinated, mismanaged, stressful, chaotic company

Pros

I guess the benefits package is competitive when compared to other companies.

Cons

I cannot figure out how this company is still making money (North America), the company is poorly run on a day-to-day basis and I don't see any corporate vision about what Atlas is doing to remain competitive. Departments don't work together, many people seem like they don't know how to function in their roles and the people that do try to adapt to the changes in the industry quickly get shut down by management. I don't know how this place makes any money, its run like a free for all. Some people are very incapable in their roles and it's troubling that nothing is done to improve the situation. Location of their offices is also somewhat strange, as their not near any major metro area (may explain the lack of ability to attract new hires). I really wish things would change, as there is so much money and potential to be had and made, they just need proper leadership and management. The corporate propaganda you watch makes you think you're working for a different company vs what you'll see on a daily basis.

Pros

Atlas Copco is a well-known international company with a good Swedish culture which provides a lot of opportunities for cultural exchange and diversity.

Cons

But as it all depends on the management itself, every business area and country is well affected by its management style which in turn causes the employee turnover rate to increase. So the sustainability of the internal competency and the company culture is directly affected by this.
