Pros

- good pay & benefits

Cons

- I had a spineless manager who was terrified of senior management - constant shifting priorities, it was impossible to get anything done productively - you have 4 pillars you need to meet for APEX (the performance management process), projects, eng excellence, direction and org impact. So you have at least 4 things on your plate that you need to constantly be working on. And then with weekly production incidents (known as HOTs) you were being pulled in every direction. I found context switching was wasting so much of my time and energy. And then my manager told me I was expected to work on multiple projects at a time which stretched me even thinner
