Pros

Engineering practices and rigour established over the years is first class. Most developers want to do the right thing for the company. Developers are talented, humble and great to collaborate with. Equity compensation is (was) a significant differentiator (when the share price was good)

Cons

Since 2022, Atlassian seems to have been throwing out the baby with the bathwater. While trying to speed up execution and bring in velocity by bringing in people from companies like Meta, they have created a confused, mercenary leadership structure that is only concerned with their yearly bonus and not with the longevity of the company.

Pros

- Good environment for growth if you're in the right team - Good benefits

Cons

- Constantly under pressure of work load. - Stock is down significantly, total comp doesn't seem to be worth the stress anymore. - Boring product - Too much processes and red tape
