      Forced career growth with no actual pathway

      Pros

      Cool office, free lunch, good benefits (although getting less and less), good record on CV, AI token buffet, Work from anywhere for 90 days

      Cons

      Forced promotion in 3 years or get PIP'd No leeway for learning even though hired into crossed role team Essentially expected to use AI to "boost productivity" even though the tool is not entirely there yet APEX (Performance evaluation) drives people to focus more on personal decoration than customer value Startup culture basically gone - left with US style corpogrind.

      Pros

      Good AUS Pay (but that is loosing it's power with dropping stock. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, and snacks in the office save a fair bit of cash. Good equipment and endless AI Tokens to play with.

      Cons

      Pure fear. Everyone is saving themselves. No motivation for a mission. The ones that are happy are there to make money for themselves and don't care about the company/product/people. The rest are unhappy, sad or scared. Leadership are heartless and robotic. They lack connection with the employees, replay the "We care" speech, and relegate all nasty commentary or thoughts to the front line managers to deal with and coordinate with HR.
