Pros

Some really amazing colleagues. Stock grants have the potential to significantly improve your total compensation.

Cons

Salaries are at best average. Internal promotion is intentionally made very difficult. Company politics get exhausting and never end. Management wanders from project to project, seldom completing initiatives, but always receiving bonuses. Gender diversity in hiring gets lip service but little else. Tech stack churn, quarterly direction changes, and in-fighting between divisions lead to constant rewrites of the same capabilities in different languages and frameworks. It's hard to build deep skill and craft in such an environment. Pressure leads to burnout and demoralization. AI has been shoved down everyone's throat, but core infrastructure and functionality is neglected. Meanwhile, ancient bugs and problems continue to dog flagship software, but no roadmap exists to address them.
