Pros

The benefits are fanstastic, especially working for a healthcare system. There is plenty of days off, but keep in mind that you have to take paid time off even for holidays. There is also very great job security.

Cons

It is extremely hard to get a job in this company. HR is terrible and you better know someone on the inside to ensure you get your resume in the door and to the right person. The company definately pays way below market since in benchmarks itself against public and government agencies. The thing they forget is that government jobs have more benefits and pension programs. A 2% raise does not cut it, and neither does moving your pay ranges just before someone tops out.

Pros

The benefits good. You get plenty of paid days off. Lots of opportunities to learn since it is a teaching facility.

Cons

Because is is health care, you may be required to work holidays. Also, some weekend work may be required to be on call.
