      Great pay, bad medical team

      Pros

      Pay was 64,000 which was great. Good hours, 8am - 4:30, but arrival time was very relaxed and flexible, most people showing up at 830am. Great time and great director and manager.

      Cons

      Overworked of course. Doctors and nurses have no idea what our jobs our, especially working w/ travel nurses. Nurses asking social workers to perform nursing tasks. Nurse manager on one unit forced me to call a family and told them they had to pick up their loved one who was dying and I was working with them to get home hospice. Case management team was great and could always lean on them, but you don't ever see your fellow case workers as you work primarily with the nurses and doctors on your assigned floor.

      Pros

      Good overall comraderie. Management is constantly changing but a very stable place to work. Pay is below average and so is the insurance coverage. However they do pay raises every year and so it doesn't take long to increase a bit. They also offer a nice contribution to your HSA each year that helps with medical expenses. What I love most about working in Atrium is that they actually do care about their workers, rare to see in most large hospitals. i worked during COVID and the hospital did everything they could to not let go of any employees.

      Lack of Accountability at SHVI

      This company offers a lot of community involvement, Decent health, vison and dental benefits, tuition reimbursement.

      Cons

      Atrium as a whole is a great company. SHVI higher up leaders are not as supportive of the management. They do not hold teammates (APP/MD's) accountable for their unethical actions nor behaviors,
