      Chaos and no ROI within Atrium-acquired Wake Forest School of Medicine

      Pros

      - Gene Woods vision of providing healthcare for all and pervasive practice within legacy Atrium Health to put the patient first. - Camaraderie within Legacy Atrium research teams.

      Cons

      - Shortsighted to put fast-paced Atrium research under notoriously slow academic medical center Wake Forest (WFSM). WSFM makes decisions without thought to financial implications and it has a terrible reputation with pharma and biotech companies. - Integration decisions by WFSM leadership has been the "Wake way" only,- no consideration to best practice, and causing extra work for overworked staff in legacy Atrium. - In nearly 2 years, WFSM leaders have promoted only those from legacy Wake. - Difficult to rate Atrium Health where it should be as responses get downgraded because of WFSM.

      Liked the job until things changed

      Cons

      Software changed and there wasn’t enough training and communication and not enough employees, everyone was made to work overtime, and most employees didn’t actually work while they were there, leaving the ones who did, doing all of the work, and management was told about the situation numerous times and did nothing to solve the problem
