Great place to work & build your career long term
Pros
- Awesome place to start & build a career as an investment professional; unmatched in the amount of deal experience you receive, development resources provided to you, and responsibility given to you at a young age; you will have done more deals 3 years into Audax than most investment professionals do in 10+ years, a valuable skillset to have - Growth / advancement opportunities are readily available - more so than most/all of their peer firms and at a faster pace; given the amount of deals they do, you have a lot of responsibility as a junior team member and allowed to step up into roles on teams / build experience that would not be available until many years later at other firms - Strong social culture and focus on mentorship - senior deal team members invest their time to build relationships with not only VPs & up, but also with associates and analysts; unique in the amount of exposure / interaction you have with the senior team at a junior level, culture of "bringing everyone to the meeting" and getting their voice into the conversations (all the way down to summer interns) - Audax consistently promotes VPs and MDs on their investment team that started at the firm as analysts / associates or even summer interns (very rare amongst other firms) - if you want a long term career path in Private Equity, no better place to be - Covers basically every industry, wide range of exposure to different types of companies and you can influence what types of investments you work on - Tons of infrastructure / support in place (legal, tax, cap markets, sourcing, etc.) so you can spend your time focused on core deal work - Smart people. The firm is growing and fund performance is excellent & extremely consistent
Cons
- You need to work hard to succeed at Audax, which is true of any firm that is worth working for, and Audax gives you all the tools you need to succeed if you want to
