Pros

Summer internship program is really well designed to give you a taste of what it is like to work on the deal team with one week of training at beginning of the program. There is no make work, first week on job I traveled to a management meeting with an MD and VP, I got to work on two live deals and two portfolio companies during the ten weeks. Really liked the people and thought there was a good mix of social events to get to know the senior team.

Cons

You definitely work hard and can travel extensievly depending on your deals / portfolio companies. It is a matrix starffing model, so every team you work on differs- which is a con and a pro. Post-undergrad comp scales up significantly in third year after school, so if you're thinking about leaving in first or second year, it's not as lucrative.

Pros

I have not had any positive experience working here yet. Maybe that will change in the future, but so far, working here has been such a terrible time. I would not recommend working here to anyone.

Cons

I joined Audax Group a couple of months ago, and I have to say, working here feels more like torture than an actual career opportunity. I have not been given any training whatsoever, but I’m expected to meet a lot of difficult demands and keep up with huge workloads, already with zero support. I work long hours, and employees aren’t given a lot of time off, so my work-life balance is pretty terrible. Most of the managers here are indifferent, with some of them being downright hostile towards employees. They don’t really guide employees; all they do is boss people around and occasionally power-trip. Job security here is awful as well; employees often get fired out of nowhere for no apparent reason, although you wouldn't want to work here anyway, with how low the salary is, as well as how few opportunities there are for employees to advance.
