Bright and engaged people, lots of emphasis on people-management, career development, training and learning. Good work-life balance.

Cons

Not competitive vacation policy -- only 3 weeks for tenures < 5 yrs Heavily process and documentation focused; sometimes feels like overkill

Audible has amazing perks and benefits that are on par with some of the best tech companies out there. Free catered food everyday including a salad bar, deli, and chefs table, free beverages including a drink of the month, free snacks including hummus and carrots, guac, and fruits, and $500/month right in your pocket if you live in Newark. The company is also an active member of the Newark community to help revitalize the economy and to help its people. They have an entire team dedicated to creating more jobs, more residential housing, and helping local businesses. This is a company that cares just as much about people as they do about the bottom line. And then there’s the people who work here. Truly kind-hearted and intelligent people. I get to work with some of the most solution oriented and collaborative people. Being located in New Jersey is also a plus for anyone who lives in NJ and doesn’t want to commute all the way to NYC.

Cons

You will encounter a handful of bad eggs here but honestly every company has them. I have seen people like this enter the company and not stay forever so it’s at least refreshing to know that the company does something once they identify there’s a problem.
