Pros

Some supervisors/BCBAs really care about their clients and reach out to the RBT in case they need extra support.

Cons

- Most Supervisors (BCBAs) still do not come in person to session (At all), and rather choose to commute via zoom. This is usually fine but some clients need the extra support of in person supervisors. - Poor communication between the RBT and Client Services (the team that schedules RBT with new clients). Client services advisors are constantly changing, leaving the RBT to have to figure out who to contact once their Client Services advisor has stopped responding. It takes over a week at times for a Client Services advisor to respond to emails. - Poor communication between Supervisors, Company and RBTs. Location of the clinic often changes and RBTs and Clients are notified in person a few weeks before the change. No email notification is ever sent out about change of Location of the ABA Clinic.

Thank you for all of your hard work supporting our families in the San Jose area. We apologize that you feel you’re not getting responses to your emails quickly enough. We have processes in place to ensure everyone is on the same page, but we understand that when people get busy, sometimes this causes delays. We highly recommend you reach out to your Clinical Director to share your experience and find solutions. In the field of ABA, we know how critically important communication is; if you feel like communication could be improved, we want to correct that. If you’d like help getting that conversation started, you can reach out to us at reviews@autismlearningpartners.com and we can help connect you with Support Center team members who can work to address your concerns.

Pros

As someone who only graduated high school and never finished college, I am able to make enough to finance my living. They do a great job encouraging growth and maintaining our kiddo’s dignity.

Cons

It’s a tough job. Every day is different, challenging and taxing. The hardest part comes from the outside environment not maintaining consistency which may make progress plateau.

We appreciate your dedication to your role at ALP and we’re happy to hear you enjoy working with your kiddos! We may be a little biased, but we love them, too! Supporting our clients and seeing them progress is the best part of being a Behavior Technician. We strive to offer our people support and career development opportunities so they can provide the best care for the individuals and families we serve. We encourage it in a variety of ways, including tuition discounts for continued education, excellent mentorship programs, annual reviews, pay reviews twice a year for Behavior Technicians and advancement opportunities. If you’re interested, we strongly recommend you reach out to your supervisor or HR to get more details. We know how physically and mentally demanding the Behavior Technician role can be, and while it is truly one of the most rewarding positions, it can still take a toll. With that in mind, we’ve put together a variety of resources to anyone feeling overwhelmed, such as additional support and training from your regional Field Trainer and/or direct Supervisor. We appreciate your role as a Behavior Technician and celebrate the lasting impression you and others make on our families.

Pros

Will work with part time schedule and good families to work with. In home mostly so lots of natural environment teaching opportunities.

Cons

Not as much contact with supervisors or other colleagues. Driving from client to client takes up a lot of your work day.

Thank you for your years of service and providing amazing support for our Orange County families. We can’t begin to express our gratitude for the contributions towards progress that you made during your time with us. We want you to know, when one of our people find themselves in a unique situation, we encourage them to reach out to their supervisor or Field Trainer for help. Our supervisors and trainers are also available for additional support along the way for those who feel they might benefit from extra help or just a refresher on a particular topic. We also understand driving can be a tedious part of this job, but we make sure all of our Behavior Technicians are paid for their drive time and reimbursed for mileage. Thanks again for your dedicated support during your time at ALP. We wish you the best in your next role!
