One year ago I started on my biggest adventure yet, I joined on with a Fintech startup called AutoFi. Coming from large companies with corporate environments, it was a big shift to say the least. Fast forward to a year later, we have grown our customer base six-fold and we're expanding our field and leadership team every month! Changing from hitting monthly and quarterly KPI's to the startup urgency of GROW OR CEASE TO EXIST, has been a really exciting transition. One that keeps me up at night, pushes me all day and keeps me fired up for what's to come tomorrow. The best part is even though there is high pressure to produce each day, I work for/with some of the best people I've ever worked with! Jonathan Schenk, Kevin Singerman & Mandar Gokhale lead with open eyes and ears, ready to take feedback from the entire team to make the best product possible. This is how to run a company!

Cons

AutoFi is still in the awkward toddler stage. We are adding resources as fast as possible to keep up with the growth trajectory. A constantly growing, changing team brings it's inherent challenges for training, culture, space, etc...Great problems to have!

Entrusts in the talents they've hired to help with Internal and External processes, which never happens in big corporations. Being at the forefront of a great Fin Tech company that really helps our clients streamline their current bottlenecks within their online and brick and mortar. Direct communication with the CEO, CTO, & CRO- very transparent Everyone is a TEAM PLAYER!! 24/7!!!

Cons

It can be sad at times to be on your own island-especially if you are a remote team member Some departamental silos need to be more integrated BUT it's still a start up and that comes with the territory Being part of a Start Up and the unknowing can scare you BUT the rewards overcome the risks!
