Pros

Great benefits. Few that still offer sabbatical.

Cons

Lack of development and growth opportunities. Culture has dwindled the past few years as Autodesk is attempting to become a $10B company. There's an internal "Culture Code" which is interconnected into everything we do. However, it's all smoke and mirrors with no real impact to the employee experience.

Pros

Terrific “total rewards” package, great people of all skill sets and backgrounds, beautiful regional offices globally, fun perks such as “Autodesk World Cup” annual company soccer tournament, lots of lateral mobility between internally posted role openings, if you connect well & build trust with your direct manager and always work hard, they will train you to get you anywhere you want to go in terms of upward movement Two more words: Andrew Anagnost. Just a truly amazing CEO. He will always keep is very real with us as employees and never veneer or lie to embellish or try to control a situation in an unhealthy way. He steers into the skid when things aren’t well and explains them professionally and offers pragmatic approaches to solutions. For having a background of essentially being a rocket scientist, he has incredible social and people skills. I appreciate knowing he is a ceo I can trust

Cons

Middle management and senior leadership on the whole is an unmitigated disaster, no one knows what they’re doing it seems at the upper levels (director and up) some obviously better than others. Difficulty with retaining good talent in the acquired companies that have been rolled into the broader Autodesk ecosystem, because even the best and brightest fro, acquired startups get leveled into Autodesk at a lower level sometimes significantly lower than their role at the startup sometimes leading to resentful or disgruntled employees. It’s also an ever-so-slow moving ship, decision seem to take an eternity to be made. This is probably everywhere, but long working hours especially if you hold a global role, and expectation to stay on after hours is common, particularly if you are down on your number in sales or working hard on a program/project- sometimes leading to aggravation in an imbalance of work and life. However again it’s a good rewards/salary and benefits package to mitigate this slightly
