Smart, dedicated colleagues who are quality people, collaborative and generally willing to help out, even when they are busy themselves.

Cons

Reputation that pay is a little lower comparable to industry peers, but work- life balance helps to make up for it

Pros

Company does a lot of good in the world and overall a lot of cool stuff too. Hybrid first Solid benefits and pay Full of good people Forward looking Not influenced by large swings in the political sphere

Cons

Company has changed values this year and leaders tend to lean on those as a crutch when dealing with tough topics. Lots of turnover in Finance since new CFO joined. Many long term employees (at management levels) have left resulting in loss of institutional knowledge and lower level employees following. In Finance burnout is high. New leaders seem to change their mind every two weeks so you do work only to have to redo it. Head of CPF (formerly FP&A) is a micromanager, seems more focused on impressing the CFO than taking care of their team. Half the CPF leadership team has left in the last seven months. There is an overall lack of awareness of how working at this pace and volume is impacting people. People having to work late hours and on weekends because there is no time to get work done when you are in meetings all day. Multiple people have left without having another role lined up. That’s how intense the burnout is. Meetings are constantly changing, making it impossible to plan out your day. Lack of consistency on if we are being budget conscious or not. Nitpicking about a two figure charge but no biggie about $5k for something. In Finance you feel very detached from all the cool stuff the company does so it’s hard to find something to hold onto on the tough days.

Incredible Work Life Balance,

Pros

The work life balance is incredible. This was my first role out of college and it's certainly going to be a high bar to surpass. Every manager I had cared so much about each teammate, their personal and professional development, and were all über nice. I love my team and I love the company. And from what I can tell, most others feel the same. It's easy to jump teams, it's easy to change your role, it's easy to not do your work and not be reprimanded...It's no wonder there are so many "boomerangs" and I intend to be one too. It's a no brainer that Autodesk makes cool stuff. We've all drank the Kool-Aid and we're proud of it.

Cons

As a recent graduate, it's easy to get complacent and lose momentum in your career within this company. Everyone is remote, most people in the company are a bit on the older side, and people are too nice for fear of being perceived as which makes it hard to get anything of substance done. Honestly, Andrew Anagnost is probably one of the more controversial figures in the company and I think we all love him still. TLDR; we often move too slow.
