This is the type of company that will make you never want to work again. They will exhaust you. You will work 6 days a week 11+ hour shifts EVERY SINGLE WEEK. then while you’re there they will extend the shift an extra hour and FORCE you to stay. the overtime is also forced. if you’re a salaried engineer they will force you to work 20-30+ hours of overtime a week and then tell you you don’t get paid because you’re salary. If you can’t do a day of overtime , considering that people do have lives outside of work and have obligations they need to take care of, they will tell you to use your vacation to have the day off because you’re calling off on a scheduled work day. so you’re using 1 of your 10 vacation days so that you can take off on a day that’s OVERTIME that you’re NOT EVEN GETTING PAID TO BE THERE FOR ANYWAY. and no, you won’t get paid for using the vacation, you’re just getting the day off that’s it. The salary for an engineer is standard so they’re not paying you an insanely high amount of money to make up for the overtime you don’t get paid. so whatever salary you get offered, cut it in half because you’re working double the hours for it. The turn over is extremely high so there are constantly new people needing to get trained just for you to end up having to train someone else 2 months later because they’ll quit as soon as they see the working conditions. They actually eliminated their 3rd shift and made 1st and 2nd shift split the hours of what would have been 3rd shift. and they did this before the pandemic even happened so that’s not even an excuse. Find somewhere else to work. Even if you are desperate do not choose this company. I’m glad I have a degree so I wasn’t stuck there and could find better easily. There are so many better companies in the world to choose than this.
