Pros

The benefits tend to be pretty good in comparison to other companies. They actually have a defined-benefit pension under Cox Communications which is rare in private industry today, and a good health care plan. The work environment is fairly relaxed. I get the impression that the home office environment is much better than the regional offices.

Cons

Some miscommunication between management divisions related to work conducted. This was not in any way intentional but rather an issue of conflicting priorities during major moves.

Pros

It USE to be the best career that I ever had- but they changed the pay plan and are creating an enviroment that is short term for a majority of its employees. It is a great stepping stone to get into the world of online advertising but is no longer the destination.Benefits are the main focal point of why most people have not left as of yet- but that is only so good so long. A company that cares about its employees was a glorious feeling when i joined about 3 years ago but they have moved away from that with hiring from the outside for every level.

Cons

Hiring from other sources of media rather than hiring from within. Mid level employees are reading the writing on the wall that there is going to be no room for advancement. Hiring freezes mean more workload for those already on board. Middle mgmt goes in 40 different directions- Is this advertising, sales, service, etc.. Be prepared to wear twenty different hats for half the pay that was offered just last year. The company needs to go back to its young roots- Care about employees and customers. Refocus on what made us successful to begin with. Get back on track making employees feel that they are the most valuable asset that the company has.

Pros

Probably a good place to be if you are an excellent salesperson. Benefits and perks galore for those who sell like crazy.

Cons

This company is terrified of lawsuits and they will lay off people simply to avoid them. In my time there I have witnessed great lapses in reason and unfair practices regarding terminations. Also, some members of senior management are uncommunicative and unsupportive of employees. Probably a better company to work for if you're a good salesperson; however, salespeople get terminated at the moment their sales start to dip. Avoid for technical positions. They're treated like the ones working in the dungeon, all to make the sales departments look good.
