      Pros

      "Passion for Technology" is one of Avanade's core values. If you are passionate about technology you can find a good role at Avanade.

      Cons

      Traveling. Avanade didn't have enough business in my home town so I had to decide between working on great great projects for a great company or spending evenings at home with my kids. Avanade is committed to Microsoft's success in the enterprise. This made it hard to find mobile projects to work on (especially here in the U.S.)

      Health benefits are decent

      Cons

      2 weeks vac time to start, they say they grow, want their people to take training - only if your selected to attend the training. Most of the training are online webinars. Very high schoolish - if upper mgmt likes you then your slotted for a project. If they don't then your on the bench and let go. If you take a stretch role there is no forgiveness if you make an error. They claim its the people that help however everyone is trying to get the same roles or they are over worked and can't help. X Accenture people always get slotted for projects. Its who you know. MS projects in Seattle your treated poorly - no one there knows or care that MS also has ownership in Avanade.

      Pros

      If you go the extra mile and are committed to you project work and continuous learning you are rewarded. Its great to work with smart people who are passionate about the Microsoft Stack.

      Cons

      It is consulting work so sometimes long hours are required to hit customer deadlines. As you move up the ladder you are pushed more to selling and managing the customer vs delivery.
