Pros

Avanade has great opportunties available to someone who is willing to go after them. Make a good business case on why or what you want with your career and you're likely to get it. Avanade offer tons of training to help with both career growth, financial growth, and personal growth. They are a people company. The experience and career at Avanade is what you make it, they provide the tools to be successful, you just have to make time to use them.

Cons

Even though there's a good career tracking system in place, sometimes politics get in the way of advancement within certain verticals of the company. While training is key to Avanade, it's difficut to take time away from deliverables to leverage all that's available and meet minimum training requirements.

Pros

- Opportunities to work on medium to large scale projects. You will learn a lot and develop both technical and soft skills if you work hard at it. - Travel which can be a good or a bad thing. - Good exposure to Microsoft products. - Training opportunities for improving technical and soft skills. I enjoyed flying to Seattle to attend the in person trainings. Avanade also covers the cost for taking certification exams. - Free MSDN Subscription - Yearly $2000 allowance to spend on things that could help with work/life balance such as Gym membership, electronic items etc.

Cons

- Greatly influenced by the parent company Accenture. Most large projects come from Accenture so sometimes you don't feel that you are directly contributing. - Lack of focus on people and more on meeting annual sales targets. Lots of times consultants are put in staff augmentation projects where they are not able to fully utilize their skills and experience. - Salary.
