      They did a bait-and-switch on me

      Pros

      Solid insurance, decent hours, variety of clients

      Cons

      They pitched the job and the project to me as something completely different. They have me doing database development which I told them I don't know how to do in the interview and they said that was fine. Then they pitched me to the client as an expert database developer and pitched the project to me as a data scientist role. Also, Accenture had played a bail out Avanade and bonuses were unexpectedly frozen.

      Avanade has made the transition as a college grad into the work force very well providing all the resources needed.

      Pros

      Benefits are standard with other companies. However, the extended benefits package is great. Lots of training opportunities and ability to obtain industry relevant certifications.

      Cons

      Depending on your client, you will see long work hours and a lot of travel taking up time away from family.

      Pros

      The Healthcare and 401k is above average.

      Cons

      There's not one thing I miss about this company. They continue to put margins and sales quotas ahead of their workforce and the marketplace reality. The reality is they are too top heavy to compete and remain priced fairly to their clients. They add so much to their price in anticipation of their delivery errors. Former top notch firm with the same value as staff augmentation companies now.
