Pay is good. Benefits could be better.

Cons

Management needs to manage and be held accountable for their lack of Management! There is no communication between the Union and the Plant Leadership anymore. Production is more important than safety. Buildings are falling down. Equipment is antiquated and in disrepair. The list could go on for a while!

VWR still benefits from strong brand recognition, and a limited number of colleagues who have been with the company for more than 10 years remain highly knowledgeable and widely respected.

Cons

The company suffers from broken processes and an unreliable supply chain, resulting in extremely long delivery times for customers. There are also internal practices — such as reassigning customers between subsidiaries without proper follow‑up — that create unnecessary conflict and ultimately harm customer service. The AMEA sales organization, in particular, would benefit from stronger leadership and better operational discipline.
